Commun.it Pro Accounts Are Here – Giving More Power To Professionals on Twitter

We have built Commun.it in order to help people achieve all of their business goals on Twitter. This is an exciting time for our small company, and we wanted to share with you our journey to this point, and give more details about the Pro accounts.

Growing Up

When we started building Commun.it over a year ago, we focused solely on community management – helping our users engage intelligently with their community – be attentive to influencers, cultivate supporters, greet new followers.

But often, your most important connections come from people that are not yet connected to you, but who are engaged with your content. This is why we have added the ability to monitor engagement - to help our users identify and connect with the people who are retweeting their blog posts, linking to their web-sites, mentioning their brand and business name on Twitter.

Community management and monitoring engagement are both passive activities, in which you react to what happens – this is suitable for active communities with significant amount of incoming engagements. But what if you are only starting your efforts on social media, or looking to actively connect with new people from new domains and walks of life? For these scenarios we added the discover new leads section. Sifting through millions of Twitter users, we identify the most relevant new leads by matching profiles, conversations and interests to the keywords users define.

We also added 2 reports, to give our users simple but powerful measuring tools: Activity Report gives an in-a-glance overview of the activity metrics most community managers care about. Engagement Report provides a detailed report of all the people mentioning your monitored items, prioritized by their influence level.

While we always work to add new features, and make the service better for our users, we also have to support its continued operation. And lately this has been taking an increasing toll on our resources – which are scarce, given that we are a small, fully-bootstrapped 3-person team. So we felt that it’s time for us to introduce a professional tier, tailored specifically for professionals who use Twitter to achieve their business goals.

Commun.it for Professionals

While basic Commun.it accounts remain free, we believe that Pro plan gives our users much more power, without sacrificing simplicity. So here is what you will get with Pro:

• Unlimited engaged members – the free accounts have a weekly limit on the number of people users can engage from within Commun.it (the weekly limit is reset every week). Pro users have unlimited access.
• Unlimited reports – the free account allows to view reports 1 week back. Pro account gives unlimited access to reports
• Unlimited monitored items – the free account allows monitoring of up to 2 URLs and 2 hashtags. The Pro account allows adding unlimited number of monitors
